How are our dolls made? :-)

Dolls made from a good quality 100% natural sheep wool are our speciality. For the central part of the doll’s body a several times washed raw wool donated by local farmers is used. Strength and shapeability of its hands are enabled by wires. The whole construction is coated with a coloured wool supplied from Czech producers. The appearance of dolls is inspired by our female dancers and their costumes. That’s why we offer dolls with various hair tones and in different colours of skirts and bodices. A white shirt and petticoat are not missing on any of the dolls.

Each doll is made carefully by dry felting. Dry felting means stabbing the wool with a barbed needle over and over until it pulls into itself and locks together. Since it is completely handmade, each doll is an original. Even when trying to do so, there cannot be two dolls exactly the same.
